You must apply for a secondary school place for your child to start year 7 at secondary school. You will need to do this when your child is in year 6.

Grammar School Admissions
If you would like your child to be considered for a Kent or Medway Grammar School, then they will need to sit the Kent and/or Medway Test.

Registration for the Kent and Medway Tests normally open at the beginning of June and close at the end of June. The tests are usually held at the beginning of September.
