EPSCA National Chess Championship 2018 |
| Qualifying Tournament Saturday 3 March at Wouldham All Saints School |
We are hosting a round of the English Schools National Chess Competition on Saturday 3rd March and we would like your child to be part of the school team.
We have an under 11 and an under 9 team with each team playing a number of rounds against other schools.
The event lasts all day, starting at 9:15 and with an expected finish time of 5:10pm for prize giving.

We will be playing against teams from other Primary Schools, so as well as playing chess, it will be a great chance to meet new people and make new friends!
School uniform will need to be worn on the day.
There will be a tuck shop selling a variety of items to eat and drink but a packed lunch will also be needed.
As there can be periods of time between competition rounds it is also sensible for your child to bring something small to entertain themselves. Please don't bring anything valuable - just in case!
Training
The Snodland Chess Club are organizing Junior Chess Sessions to help our players prepare for the tournament. The Junior Sessions are held on Thursdays (term-time) at the Snodland Cricket pavilion from 6.30pm-7.30pm and are led by Mr Miners.
